Leading Cancer Organizations Launch New Patient Education Sheets Website, Advancing Patient-Centered Oncology Education
Trusted Cancer Care Patient Resource Accessed Over 200,000 Times Monthly by Providers
Cazenovia, NY — October 1, 2025 – The Network for Collaborative Oncology Development & Advancement (NCODA), the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC), is proud to announce the launch of the new Patient Education Sheets (PES) website.
For years, oncology professionals, patients, and caregivers have relied on Oral Chemotherapy Education (OCE) and Intravenous Cancer Treatment Education (IVE) sheets for evidence-based, patient-friendly guidance. Today, these trusted resources have evolved into Patient Education Sheets—a new name that reflects a broader scope, improved usability, and a modernized platform designed to better support patients and care teams.
The launch of the Patient Education Sheets website represents the next step in a collaborative effort by NCODA, HOPA, ONS, and ACCC to strengthen patient-centered cancer education. These trusted resources are already in high demand—accessed by providers more than 200,000 times each month—underscoring their essential role in supporting patients and caregivers at every stage of treatment.
“The response to our patient-centered resources has been overwhelming, with hundreds of thousands of downloads each month. That demand speaks to how vital clear, reliable cancer education is,” said Michael Reff, RPh, MBA, NCODA executive director and founder. “With the launch of the new Patient Education Sheets website, we are ensuring that oncology professionals have fast, reliable access to the trusted information they need for patients. This collaborative effort between NCODA, HOPA, ONS, and ACCC demonstrates the collective commitment to advancing excellence in patient-centered oncology education.”
The website www.patienteducationsheets.com features over 300 education sheets offering clear, easy-to-understand language that helps patients understand how a particular oncology therapy works along with key information on precautions and treatment schedules. Each Patient Education Sheet offers accurate, comprehensive best practices in cancer care thanks to the expertise of the partner organizations sharing clinical knowledge.
Brenda Nevidjon, MSN, RN, FAAN, Chief Executive Officer at ONS shared, “The collective membership of all organizations involved is so passionately committed to improving the level of care for patients and this project aligns perfectly with our goal to deliver the best in patient-centered care. Nurses develop deep relationships with patients in working through treatment schedules and striving to enhance adherence, and these Patient Education Sheets provide essential information to support our members and the patients we care for.”
“One of the most impactful things about this effort is the complete view of patient care offered given the collaboration and partnership across specialties. Pharmacists, oncology nurses, advanced practice professionals, and a wide range of cancer care professionals and centers all aligned to deliver best practices in care,” said Anne Krolikowski, CAE, Executive Director at HOPA.
“I’m excited about the Patient Education Sheet website as it was designed for clarity, accessibility, and better patient-provider communication,” said Meagan O’Neill, Executive Director at ACCC. “When patients are navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment, our goal is to equip providers with clear, accessible tools that simplify the treatment plan—so they can focus on delivering compassionate, effective care.”
